As we welcome in the new year we wanted to take a moment to look back on 2025, sharing some of our noteworthy milestones and achievements.
The eMHPrac team has been very busy in 2025, developing new resources, presenting at conferences across the nation and internationally, and supporting health practitioners across Australia to access and use digital mental health in their work. Our dedicated team has been working hard to guide practitioners through the ever-evolving digital mental health landscape, keeping them up to date with the latest developments and increasing their confidence to using digital mental health resources.

eMHPrac in the Community
We love getting to meet and connect with people in the mental health community throughout Australia, to share knowledge about digital mental health, the latest innovations and what health practitioners actually need to incorporate these tools into everyday practice.
This year we were able to participate in 11 national conferences, reaching over 7,016 delegates. Our team enjoyed chatting with many health practitioners and support workers at our trade booths and sharing resources to help you find the best digital services to enhance your work. We were also able to present at many of these conferences, sharing deeper insights into the many ways digital mental health services can help, and strategies for how to use them in practice.

We were also honoured to participate in the Digital Mental Health International Congress in Canada this year. eMHPrac Director Heidi Sturk and WellMob Directory David Edwards were invited to present at this prestigious event attended by more than 730 delegates from around the globe.

In addition to conference presentations, our team visited health workers and organisations across Australia, delivering 8+ training presentations, webinars and workshops to over 545 health practitioners and SEWB (Social and Emotional Wellbeing) workers.
The eMHPrac team at Black Dog Institute released 9 new webinars in 2025, exploring topics like; navigating sleep and shift work, short mental health interventions, digital apps for suicidal ideation, AI, and more. These webinars were recorded live throughout the year and are now available on-demand through the Black Dog Institute Health Professionals Education and Resource Hub.
In addition to connecting and distributing resources at conferences, our guides, brochure, crisis cards are also available to download or order for free through our website. In 2025 we sent more that 27,804 hard copies of our resources to health practitioners and support workers across Australia, and saw 484,560 digital downloads.

The WellMob team introduced an exciting new online training resource at the end of 2025, launching the trial of a new short email-based course on using digital tools found on WellMob. The course teaches practical skills in the use of culturally based resources with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients through 8 email-delivered lessons. This microlearning course attracted nearly 400 participants, and evaluation of this pilot will be shared in early 2026 via the WellMob newsletter.

Resource Development
Each year we endeavour to create more resources and improve navigation for health practitioners and support workers to access appropriate digital mental health to use in their practice with patients and clients. This year our team released a new series of referral sheets for health practitioners, new and improved research evidence fact sheets, as well as continuing to update and improve our popular Australian Digital Mental Health Directory for Health Practitioners and brochures.
The new suite of referral sheets was added to our website at the start of 2025, providing a short list of suitable resources on a range of topics including; anxiety, addictions, chronic pain and chronic conditions, depression, domestic, family and sexual violence, eating disorders and body image issues, grief and loss, OCD, parenting, sleep, stress, suicide prevention, trauma and more. We have also developed a range of referral sheets for specific audiences such as culturally and linguistically diverse people, members of the LGBTIQA+ community, and support people.
These referral sheets are designed to help mental health professionals incorporate digital mental health resources into care. They can be used to guide a conversation, shared directly with patients or clients, or kept as a handy reference guide.

Our team has already updated the full series of referral sheets during 2025 to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest developments. Similarly, two new editions of the eMHPrac Australian Digital Mental Health Directory for Health Practitioners were released in 2025, in February and August. At this same time we updated our Digital Mental Health brochures for adults, adolescents, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, new and expecting parents, children (up to 11yrs) and their parents and caregivers, and alcohol and other drug use and addictive behaviours.

2025 also saw the development of two new fact sheets exploring the evidence behind digital mental health resources for adults and young people (12-25yrs). These fact sheets provide health practitioners with a brief overview of the evidence for digital mental health treatments and other digital mental health interventions. They are invaluable resource for health practitioners new to using digital mental health resources, searching for quality digital mental health resources or seeking to learn more about the evidence behind digital mental health.
The WellMob team were also hard at work in 2025, constantly reviewing new resources to be added to their library of online social and emotional wellbeing resources. WellMob have also made their Best Practice Ideas portal much easier to navigate, introducing six new topics to help health and wellbeing workers working with First Nations peoples to access practical strategies and guides to help them be more effective and culturally responsive. Users can access more than 75 resources on best practice for alcohol and other drugs, allyship, culturally safe service, family support and mental health psychology.
