This free service provides 24/7 mental health support. Young people can access proven strategies, tools, and resources at their own pace, join a safe virtual support network, and choose how they wish to engage with therapy content, activities, or support from clinicians, career consultants, and peer workers. MOST is also available to young people through participating headspace or specialist youth mental health services in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, and the ACT.
World Suicide Prevention Day – September 10th
As we reflect on World Suicide Prevention Day, we are reminded that this year’s theme, “We All Have a Role to Play,” underscores the importance of collective effort in preventing suicide and supporting those at risk. Whether through direct care, community engagement, or simply being present for someone in need, every action matters. To assist health professionals in fulfilling this vital role, we’ve developed a factsheet on digital mental health services and resources for suicide and self-harm prevention. Wellmob also offers two resource sheets for workers that highlight best practice resources to use for suicide prevention with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Live webinars from Black Dog Institute
“Online experiences and adolescent mental health”
When: Online, Thur 24 Oct 1pm AEDT and Thur 24 Oct 7pm AEDT
Screen-based devices play a central role in adolescents’ daily lives, serving purposes such as education, entertainment, social interactions, and creativity. While public concern about the impact of screen use on adolescent mental health has grown, evidence of a direct link remains unclear. The association between screen use and mental health is complex, influenced by many factors. This webinar will report on new data about this association based on an analysis of the data provided by Australian adolescents currently enrolled in the Black Dog Institute’s Future Proofing Study. These findings will be framed within the broader context of screen use research and offer recommendations for both societal and individual changes to help adolescents benefit from online experiences while reducing potential harms.
