Using Social and Emotional Wellbeing Tools with First Nations People

Ever wondered how to find social, emotional and cultural wellbeing online resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People? The WellMob website brings together online wellbeing resources developed for and by Our Mob.

The WellMob Website now has over 350 online resources that are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  Social and Emotional Wellbeing specific. Using online resources in your work can help to unpack a tricky topic without creating further stigma or shame and can help to facilitate conversations about the wellbeing issue in a way that is culturally relevant for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.

We have created Resource Sheets For Workers which are short cuts to the best resources for common wellbeing issues. These list great resources for you to either understand the issue further or to recommend to clients to help improve their social and emotional wellbeing.

Explore the full range of resource sheets covering topics like anxiety, cultural identity, understanding and healing from trauma, and more here.

Check out our previous blogs for more tips on how to use online resources in work and listen to our podcast episode where we hear from a non Indigenous clinician about how she practically implements cultural considerations into her client based work.
