Many people experience difficulties when a family member, friend or someone under their care is diagnosed with dementia. Health professionals are increasingly being asked what community members can do to assist a person maintain their dignity and a good quality of life after a diagnosis of dementia.

By the end of the webinar, participants will:

  • Explain to family, friends or carers a likely trajectory for a person who has been diagnosed with dementia.
  • Respond to the needs of people in whom a family member, friend or someone under their care has been diagnosed with dementia.
  • Offer appropriate resources to families, friends and carers impacted by dementia.

Presenter: Dr Hilton Koppe

Dr Koppe is a GP Educator at Demential Training Australia and facilitator of the award-winning Australian podcast ‘Dementia in Practice’.

This webinar is designed for GPs, GP registrars, psychologists, and allied mental health practitioners, or any other health professional with an interest in improving outcomes for patients with mental health conditions.
