Many people experience difficulties when a family member, friend or someone under their care is diagnosed with dementia. Health professionals are increasingly being asked what community members can do to assist a person maintain their dignity and a good quality of life after a diagnosis of dementia.
By the end of the webinar, participants will:
- Explain to family, friends or carers a likely trajectory for a person who has been diagnosed with dementia.
- Respond to the needs of people in whom a family member, friend or someone under their care has been diagnosed with dementia.
- Offer appropriate resources to families, friends and carers impacted by dementia.
